The show opens Saturday\, September 26 from 12-8pm\, and closes Thursday\, October 1 from 4-8pm. \nThis fantastic event will also feature mocktails by Sobr Social\, goodies from Blackberry Bakery\, free art drawings\, and a food drive & fundraiser for Joyce Uptown Food Shelf. Attendees can support the food shelf by bringing canned and dried goods and/or donating monetarily using a QR code that will be posted in the gallery. \nGrapevine. 2026. SUMMARY:Community Exhibition of Regenerative Creativity: Closeout Celebration
DESCRIPTION:I am thrilled to be showing a piece as part of Gifting Grove’s Community Exhibition of Regenerative Creativity in September 2026. The exhibition is located at True North Studio in Uptown Minneapolis. Swing by for a celebration of natural and regenerative materials from September 11–27\, Wednesday – Sunday; 10am – 2pm. The closing celebration on September 27 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m will feature live art making and a silent auction. \nHere are the details of the piece I will be showing: \nTitle: Stock \nMaterials: Hand-recycled paper\, food-based dye\, flour-based papier mâché paste\, and real dried herbs on a wooden cutting board \nYear: 2026 \nThis piece celebrates impermanence and transformational re-use in both material and subject. The piece depicts food scraps often saved to make a vegetable stock (onion ends\, mushroom stalks\, and extra herbs)\, arranged as the focus rather than the afterthought of the creative process. And just like the food scraps it represents\, this piece can be broken down and reincorporated into the ingredients of a new creation with the addition of hot water.
